This Privacy Policy explains how ObedientAmbition, Unipessoal LDA ("ObedientAmbition", "we", "us", or "our"), operating under the LagostaVentures brand and as the publisher of the game Chess Redrawn (the "App"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the App. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Portuguese law.

2. Information we collect
We aim to collect only what we need to operate and improve the App. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
Information you provide
- Contact details (such as your email address) when you reach out to us for support or enquiries.
- Any content you submit, such as feedback, reviews, or correspondence.
Information collected automatically
- App activity and in-game actions, such as matches played, moves, settings, and feature usage, to improve the experience and fix bugs.
- Device and technical information, such as device type, operating system, app version, and crash diagnostics.
- Identifiers used for advertising and analytics, including your device's advertising identifier, as permitted by your device settings.
- Approximate (coarse) location, generally inferred from your IP address, where used by our advertising partners to deliver relevant ads. Chess Redrawn does not require or collect precise GPS location to function.
- Advertising interactions, such as which ads were shown and whether they were tapped, used to measure delivery and prevent ad fraud.
Chess Redrawn is free to play and funded by advertising. Data privacy and security practices may vary based on your use, region, and age. Data handled by the App is encrypted in transit.
3. How we use your information

- To analyse usage, diagnose technical problems, and develop new features.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases: your consent — including for personalised advertising and for any storage of or access to information on your device that requires it, which you may withdraw at any time; the performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and improving the App, showing non-personalised advertising to fund the free game, measuring ad delivery and preventing ad fraud; and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Advertising and analytics partners
Advertising in Chess Redrawn is supplied by Google AdMob. Google processes information such as the advertising identifier, IP address and coarse location derived from it, device and app characteristics, and ad interactions, acting as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we ask for your consent before personalised advertising is used, through a Google-certified consent form. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time in the App's privacy or consent settings. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised advertising, which relies on limited data such as coarse location and the current app context rather than a profile built about you.
You can also limit ad tracking at the device level using your device's advertising settings, which let you reset or delete the advertising identifier and opt out of ad personalisation. Google's own controls are at My Ad Center.
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us run the App (hosting, analytics, advertising, customer support).
- App platforms such as Google Play and the Apple App Store, in line with their own terms and policies.
- Authorities where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or reorganisation.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, CNPD).
9. Children
Chess Redrawn is not directed at children for the purpose of collecting personal data. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in a manner that requires verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries outside your own. Where we transfer data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
11. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
