Email stores@lagostaventures.com with your device model, operating-system version, the app version (shown at the bottom of Settings) and a short description of what happened. A screenshot helps. Please do not send passwords, payment details or store account credentials.
Free to play, and what the purchases do
El Sobre is free and supported by ads. There are no subscriptions. Three optional one-time purchases are available in Settings:
- Remove ads stops the ads between cards and after a career ends.
- The Decade Pack adds the bailout years: new sagas, cards, characters, endings and the Mayor start.
- The Complete Edition includes both, together and for less.
Prices are shown in your local currency by the App Store or Google Play.
About the ads
There are no ads in your first ten minutes with the game. After that, an ad can appear between cards every so many decisions, with a few minutes between ads at the least, and one after a career ends. Your privacy choices change how ads are chosen, not how many you see.
Two lifelines, Call the Lawyer and the Emergency Briefcase, play an ad only when you choose them, once per career each. They stay available after you remove ads, for when you want them.
To change your advertising choices, open Settings → Privacy options. The privacy policy explains what Google AdMob processes.
Restore a purchase
Open Settings from the title screen and choose Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account or Google account that made the purchase. A pending payment or a family approval must complete before the item unlocks. Purchases do not transfer between the App Store and Google Play.
If an item is still locked, check your connection and store account and try Restore purchases again. If it continues, email us. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google through your Google Play order history.
Your careers and saves
The game saves automatically after every decision. You can keep up to three careers at once, and your Favours, perks and endings found carry over between careers.
Saves live only on your device: there is no account and no cloud save. A device backup or a transfer to a new phone may carry them over, depending on your Apple or Google settings. Uninstalling the game deletes them. Restore purchases brings back what you bought, not your careers.
Settings → Erase everything deletes every career and all progress on the device. It cannot be undone. Your purchases can be restored afterwards.
If a slot says Career unreadable, it was saved by a different version of the game. Burn the file to free the desk.
Language, form of address and text size
El Sobre is available in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Russian and Indonesian. It starts in your device's language; change it at any time in Settings → Language.
In languages that gender ranks and headlines, such as Spanish, French or German, you choose how the papers address you, as he or she, when you start a career. Change it at any time in Settings → Form of address.
The game follows your device's text size. Sound effects and haptics can be turned off in Settings.
It's satire
El Sobre is set in the fictional Republic of Iberna. Its politicians, parties, companies, provinces and scandals are invented; any resemblance is genre convention. The legal note is in Settings → Read the legal note.
